We created this fun project based on the competition proposed by Williams Racing Formula 1, to design a logo for their driver pairing, Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon. The team’s fans named the duo “Carbono,” taking syllables from each of the drivers’ names.

We worked with the numbers 55 and 23, using the idea of mirror and symmetry between the 5 and the 2. We also took this concept for the letters “c” and “b“, seeking the same notion of mirror and symmetry.

We achieved this effect by working with the BD Retrocentric typeface, to which we introduced a series of modifications to personalize it for the brand.
